51 Chestnut Treehouse is a luxury accessible accommodation designed over two levels.

The Treehouse is a dual use accommodation consisting of five bedrooms (one fully accessible).  The facilities provided are sufficient for eight adults.  The accommodation may therefore only be booked for parties of eight, not ten. (Please refer to booking conditions regarding children under two years). The make up of this lodge is one double bedroom on the upper level, one double and two twin bedrooms on the ground level, and one accessible twin bedroom with own access from a private ramp from the parking bay to the Treehouse.  All bedrooms are en- suite and have private balcony/seating area.

There is an external charging point to the left handside of the main entrance to the lodge should this be required for charging mobility scooters/chairs.

Parking

There is a designated accessible parking bay next to the lodge, with an additional parking space at the car park near to the Treehouse. 

Access

The door to the entrance of the lodge is 90cm. 

There is access for guests using wheelchairs throughout the ground floor of the accommodation and also level access to the balcony area, games pod, hot tub and Infrared Room.  Access to the non adapted bedrooms is restricted, with limited manoeuvring space.  The accessible bedroom and outdoor seating area can be accessed via either the private side access route or through the treehouse. 

Accessible Bedroom

There is a Bakare adjustable single bed with adjustable and retractable bedsides with wheels to aid movement.  There are bumpers and an insert available to go between the two sections of the bed sides, which is available from Guest Services.  There is space beneath the bed to allow a hoist to be used at the bed. A portable hoist is not provided within the accommodation.  If one is required Center Parcs will arrange for the hire of a hoist at no extra cost, please contact us in advance of your stay to make arrangements. An emergency alarm pull cord is present. 

Access to the patio is available from this room and the door width is 90cm. 

The wardrobe rail height is 160cm. 

Emergency alarms are audible throughout the Treehouse but and not connected to a central location. 

The en-suite bathroom provides an accessible shower (with flip down seat, height at 45cm) this is a transfer from the righthand side, a wash hand basin and toilet with a transfer from the left hand side.  There is full wet room flooring.  An emergency alarm pull cord is provided at the shower and toilet. 

The basin height is at 75cm, and the toilet seat height is 47cm. There is a gap of 35cm between the toilet and the basin.  

Living Area

There is seating for occupants of the lodge in the lounge area. In addition, a high seated firm chair is available within the accommodation.  There is also space within the lounge area for a wheelchair. 

The dining table has sufficient knee space for a guest using a wheelchair. 

Kitchen

The hob is at a standard height, the over is electric and has a side opening door. 

There is a work surface at 72cm.  The free standing microwave sits on this surface.  There are sufficient floor based cupboards and draws to provide accessible storage.  You may need to move what you decide is needed into these cupboards to provide accessible storage.  There are some wall mounted cupboards which are not accessible from a wheelchair. 

There is a turning circle of approximately 171x250cm. 

Games Pod

There is level access from the balcony area to the games pod, with an out opening door which is 90cm wide.  The pod is fully accessible within. 

Hot tub, Physiotherm Infrared Room, external seating, and BBQ area

Accessed from the living area patio doors or accessible bedroom The external hot tub is provided with an Oxford 140 Dipperlift hoist. Slings are not provided, please ensure you bring these with you if required.  The maximum safe working load is 140 kg (308llbs).  

Wheelchairs with metal fittings will become sufficiently hot to burn in the Physiotherm Infrared Room.  Guests should be able to transfer from their wheelchairs in order to use these facilities.  The door width to the Physiotherm is 90cm.
