NEW Forest Festival of Light
Join us as we celebrate light in the forest in this brand-new festival! Discover spectacular illuminations, enchanting performers and exciting experiences including games, crafts, face painting and more.
Wildlight Encounter
See wildlife in a whole new light! Gaze in awe at enchanting animal projections, brought to life using LED fans and 3D holographic technology.
Light up the Forest
Cycle at the speed of light or spin the wheel to make the lights glow around you in these new interactive experiences. Who can light up the forest fastest? Ready, set, glow!

A Wishlight Adventure
An enchanting indoor adventure in a wintery world of make believe, where little ones can enjoy a range of creative crafts and playful games. Ages 3 to 6 years.
Family Winter Quest
Discover an immersive indoor family activity. Solve clues, puzzles and riddles as you learn about the wildlife that call our winter forest home, in your quest to reach the secret forest cabin.
Fairy Dress Up Experience
Transform into a fairy with wings, face paint, costumes, hair braiding and accessories in this brand-new magical dress-up experience. Ages 3 to 9 years.
Winter Storytime in the Tipi
Join us for this Winter Storytime session in the Tipi, where your little ones can listen and enjoy watching our storytellers bring our Winter Forest Lights characters to life in this storytime session. Minimum age 2 years. Please note we charge a €1 charitable donation for Winter Storytime in the Tipi.
Frosty Forest Discovery Trail
Weave your way through the winter woodland, following the map to find the clues and solve the puzzles. Learn all about the fascinating forest in this outdoor family experience. Suitable for the whole family.
Winter Lantern Walk
Make your very own wishlight lantern and use it to light your way whilst you look for wishes in the forest! Can you find them all and return them to Luminessa before they disappear? Ages 3 to 9 years.
Winter Cookie Decorating
Let your little ones get creative in this fun session led by our fairies. They'll decorate some delicious cookies and finish the session with an enchanting winter story. Ages 3 to 9 years.
Enchanted Willow Weaving
Learn how to weave delicate willow fronds into a beautifully illuminated willow ornament decked out with fairy lights to brighten up your home during the winter months. Minimum age 8 years.
Messy Owls
Get stuck in with lots of squidging, sticking and splashing fun in this owl-themed activity. Our Activity Den is packed with creative play stations where you can get messy together. Ages 18 months to 5 years.
Enchanted Light Garden
This winter we’re lighting up the forest with a free Enchanted Light Garden. Wrap up warm and sip hot chocolate from Forest Fayre as you wander through thousands of twinkling lights and bright bursts of colour. Dance along to the enchanting musical soundscape and feel the magic in the forest together this winter.
Suitable for all ages and wheelchair/ buggy accessible. Open 5pm – 9pm every evening.
Family Winter Quest
The Family Winter Quest is an immersive, exploratory experience for the whole family. Solve clues, puzzles and riddles as you guide your way through the Lodge of Light to discover the secret forest cabin at the end, learning all about wildlife that call the winter forest home.
This activity is in the Lodge of Light, within The Wishlight Village and is additional to the cost of your break.
Winter Shop
Located in The Wishlight Village is the Winter Shop – a one-stop-shop for all your Winter Forest Lights souvenirs! You can buy our magical storybooks (The Winter Forest Lights and The Lost Wishlights), cuddly Beacon and Twiglet plush toys and other mementos including dressing up pixie wings, wishing nets, lanterns and photo frames.
The Lost Wishlights storybook
Deep in the forest, light-catcher Luminessa and Beacon the owl collect magical wishlights and hang them along the woodland paths, bringing hopeful light tothe dark winter months. But one day, the wishlights mysteriously disappear. Where could they have gone? Two little badgers named Twiglet and Starr wouldn't happen to know anything about it... would they?
