Outdoor Activity Centre

The Outdoor Activity Centre is located on the perimeter of the Center Parcs site. It is reached by a pathway from the Arrivals Lodge, which crosses the main drive way and continues down a steep pathway to the centre where there is Cycle Park available.

There are viewing areas available in some areas, but it is necessary to cover rough terrain to access these.

There is an adapted toilet and changing facility within the main reception building.

A Mobility vehicle is available to access this activity for wheelchair users and ambulant guests who have difficulty walking substantial distances. Please note that due to space constraints, only the person who is unable to walk and two others can be carried in the vehicle. Please notify the staff at the time of booking if this service is required.

A portable induction loop is available on request in the main building.

Paintballing

This activity involves traversing a forest environment to shoot at fellow players in various locations. The playing arena is not level ground and although daily checks are carried out to remove large trip hazards it is a forest floor with natural trip hazards. The fundamental aim of this activity means that access may be challenging for those with limited mobility or sight impairment. The event involves running from barricade to barricade and shooting at the opposing team. To take part in this activity it is important that all participants can follow and abide by the instructions given by the tutor. A high degree of mobility is also necessary.

Quad Biking (Junior and Adult)

This activity involves the riding of a standard Quad Bike around a designated track under the supervision and guidance of a trained instructor. The fundamental aim of this activity means that access may be challenging for those with limited mobility or sight impairment.

To take part in this activity it is important that all participants can follow and abide by the instructions given by the tutor. A high degree of mobility is also necessary. Participants must be able to sit on the seat of the Quad Bike and be able to reach the handlebars and footplates.

Laser Combat

This activity involves traversing a forest environment to shoot at fellow players in various locations using a Laser Combat gun. The fundamental aim of this activity means that access may be challenging for those with limited mobility or sight impairment.

The playing arena is not level ground and although daily checks are carried out to remove large trip hazards it is a forest floor with natural trip hazards.

The event involves running around the site and shooting at the opposing team. To take part in this activity it is important that all participants can follow and abide by the instructions given by the tutor. A high degree of mobility is also necessary.

Laser Clay Shoot Out

This is situated in the area of the Target Centre although accessible to wheelchairs, help may be required as the surface of the shooting area is woodchip.

This activity would not be suitable for persons with no or very limited sight. Guests with partial sight can participate in this activity with verbal instruction and physical assistance from the Instructor or a member of the guest’s party.

To take part in this activity it is important that all participants can follow and abide by the instructions given by the tutor.

Target Archery 

The Target Archery area is situated at the Target Centre and is shown clearly on the village map. From the entrance on the road opposite the Target Centre land train stop there is a steep slope down to Archery Centre.

The shooting area is undercover and has hard standing.

If the Mobility vehicle has been booked, this will drop off at the bottom of the slope and closer to the actual Target Centre entrance.

Accessible toilets: An accessible toilet is available at the end of the Target Centre.

This activity may not be suitable for persons with no or very limited sight. Guests with partial sight can participate in this activity with verbal instruction and physical assistance from the Instructor or a member of the guest’s party.

To take part in this activity it is important that all participants can follow and abide by the instructions given by the tutor.

Lighting is subdued during the hours of darkness.

There is an accessible spectator viewing area slightly above the Target Centre.
